The PB 250 system with the hardener SD 5604 is a foaming epoxy formulation developed for in situ production of low density foam. The final density of the foam only depends on the initial choice of resin.
This system gives a white foam but can be colored with epoxy compatible pigment. Associated with the hardener SD 5604 the foaming epoxy PB 250 makes it possible to obtain foams with densities of approximately 280 kg / m3. Mixing is further greatly facilitated by an easy and fairly tolerant ratio of 1 to 1 by volume.
The mixes evolve in two stages:
Rapid expansion of the casting, speed independent of the hardener.
Slow hardening of the mass
